Using only a few simple ingredients, this quick and tasty homemade tomato sauce is thick, rich in flavour and very easy to make. Serve it as a side dish or use it as a pasta sauce or even as a delicious pizza base.
1. Place 1 tbsp of oil into a large frying pan/wok, gently heat and then add in the onions and garlic. Fry for 3-4 minutes.
2. Once the garlic & onion are golden, add in the passatta along with 150ml of water. Mix together and season with Herbamare® Spicy seasoning salt.
3. Bring your sauce to the boil and leave to simmer for a few minutes, stirring thoroughly.
4. Your sauce is now ready to serve. I serve with my Chickpea & Oat Falafel Bites.
